Robert B. Iannone, CPP is President of Iannone Security Management, Incorporated, and is located in Fountain Valley, California. Mr. Iannone has over 25 years experience as a security practitioner, manager, author, security consultant, expert witness, lecturer, educator, and advisor to security book publishers. His experience includes the supervision of uniformed guards, emergency preparedness, fire prevention, the National Industrial Security Program, communications security, special access programs security, computer security, proprietary information, executive protection, and all aspects of investigative activity. Mr. Iannone is a recognized authority in the resolution of corporate problems originating in the implementation of the Department of Defense’s National Industrial Security Program, and he is a recipient of the James S. Cogswell Award for sustained, outstanding security excellence. He has been conferred a Lifetime Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by the American Society for Industrial Security.
As a consultant since 1989, Mr. Iannone (i) provides objective and independent assessments of a security organization’s personnel, systems, and equipment, (ii) develops proactive and cost effective asset protection programs, (iii) identifies and implements business techniques and administrative practices, (iv) identifies and explains the application of state-of-the-art security equipment, devices, and services, (v) develops and implements security education and training programs, and (vi) provides security consulting and expert witness services to the legal profession. His clients include over twenty industries providing services to more than one hundred customers comprising major aerospace companies, high-rise buildings, law firms, financial institutions, house of worship, manufacturing companies, biotechnology companies, residential and development organizations, television networks, computer software and hardware development, real estate investment companies, educational and medical institutions, public agencies, retail establishments, telecommunications companies, and the security service industry.
Mr. Iannone provides security consulting and expert witness services to law firms furnishing advice and assistance that result in the satisfactory resolution of various security issues. The security issues pertain to (i) inadequate security, (ii) premise liability, (iii) immigration, (iv) use of excessive force, (v) government security, and (vi) professionalism and conduct of security personnel.
Mr. Iannone is a member of the Board of Directors, Research Security Administrators, a Life Member of the American Society for Industrial Security, and past Chairman of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter. He is a contributing author to security books and security articles written by Mr. Iannone have appeared in Security Management Magazine. For over twenty (20) years, Mr. Iannone has been an adjunct professor teaching security related courses at the California State University, Fullerton, California State University, San Marcos, California State University, Long Beach, and Golden West College, Huntington Beach, California. Mr. Iannone has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice (Security Management) from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Science degree in Management from the University of LaVerne.
